Major changes have been underway since last year and the most major of them all just happened just a week ago: I've graduated. Yep, college is over and the real world has caught up. And I've got a job.

But more than just my life, I feel that my art has been undergoing major changes this past year--in a way, a process of trying to rediscover it in the midst of a rather splendid dry spell.

Though several times I have said that I was back in DA I feel that I really haven't been back as fully as I hope to be now. If i remain remiss I apologize in advance as most likely a combination of life and a fine-tuning of the rediscovery process are to blame.

I still haven't given up on putting up my own website but that's been put on hold until I've gotten back into the groove of making art. Hopefully I'll get it up and running not too long from now.

I would like to continue to thank everyone who has supported me all this time, everyone I have ever interacted with here, all those who continue to watch me, those whom I've drawn inspiration from. Without you I would not be where I am now.

Revamping the Art

I am, for all intents and purposes, at a crossroads with my art. I am also becoming more serious with it. From here on you'll be seeing more and more digital mixed media pieces. I'm also rationalizing my gallery. Except for a few exceptions most of the art that I created from the time I started here until 2007 have been moved to the "circa 2005 - 2007" folder rather than displayed in the featured section of my gallery. Several pieces have likewise been removed and placed in storage.

Part of my art agenda for the summer also includes the following:
~ relaunching my website
~ releasing new resources

Summer 2008

On another note, this summer I will be preparing for taking the GMAT and the GRE (assuming I don't get selected for any on-the job training). I may also take some seminars and attend some talks to further broaden my experience and training. The end goal: to reinvent my self and my capabilities and take them to the next level.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me all this time. I would like to thank everyone I've interacted with here, all those who continue to watch me, and those whom I have drawn inspiration from. Without you I would not be where I am now.

It's been a while since I last truly came onto DA, given all the problems I've been having with my internet, work schedules, and the like but that does not mean that I've forgotten the wonderful people here. Thanks so much for all your support.

So what has been happening to me since the last time?

1) Well, it seems like the internet will continue to be a constant source of vexation on my part as the phone lines near my place were once more stolen. Thankfully its back but given the relative frequency in which these thefts are happening I am afraid that one of these days the telephone company may just decide that constantly re-installing new lines is way too costly and just leave us phone-less and internet-less.

2) School is starting to catch up on me but a much greater distraction has been a sudden revival of my anime-watching years (Am currently following Bleach and Death Note).

3) A project that I'd been working on since the semestral break has successfully launched. Although I was unable to attend the actual launch I'm glad it's all over and that somehow we were able to pull everything together.

4) Later today I will be the book launch of the latest issue of my college literary and art journal "Heights" which has published my piece entitled "Blind" in its art gallery. Although I won't be able to attend the function due to a previous commitment, it's nonetheless something that I look forward to.

For now art has taken a slight backseat as my creative muse seems to be quite unwilling to perform lately.

Again, Thank you to everyone who has been with me all this time. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am right now.
