Who will dare travel the desert
in search of a seer? To find
fortune strung on branches,
mysticisms strewn on cracked earth.
Who will dare fathom the mirrors,
strain truth from illusion,
illusion from truth? Who will
walk the path of dreams
filled with the ghosts of yesteryears
in the hopes of finding
a single true vision?
Come.
The desert for me has always had a certain mystique. It has been a place where dreams and visions collide. To the unprepared it is a harsh and unforgiving taskmaster. To the persevering, it presents a wealth of insight. To travel into the desert involves a certain amount of soul-searching, of baring one's inmost self and coming to terms with one's demons. In the desert, we learn to strip ourselves down to only that which is essential, necessary.
This is a tribute to our own personal deserts, our own soul-searching and self-revelations.

This piece marks for me a distinct shift from what my art was and what my art now is. It is a culmination of all that I have achieved over the past months. The various techniques that I have been carefully cultivating and exploring have found here a place and have been unified into a single coherent whole. For those who have been witness to and been with me through this exploratory process will undoubtedly find many details and similarities with some of my previous pieces. If you have not yet, I urge you to browse my gallery and see for yourself what I mean.
